Kintsugi Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly

Completely one of a kind, the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly's imperfections have been celebrated by being repaired in the tradition of kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken porcelain with gold. This piece is hand-pinned and mounted in a 5" x 7" floating glass frame.  Native to the United States, this specimen was ethically sourced from a conservatory located in Indiana.
